Card games
An ordinary card batch has recently become so widespread as a board game (actually, a real collection of board games) not only because the game "equipment" is compact which makes it possible for a gambler to carry it in his pocket. The main reason why such games gained popularity is multifunctionality of a card batch. A large and expensive box with chess contains only one strategic game, though wise. Alternatively, a small and cheap card batch has hundreds of games with various mechanisms inside.
A concrete amount of games depends only on one fact: whether a gambler - the owner of a card batch - and his partners know the rules (of different games) or not. Actually, it's not necessary to have any partners at all. Such a variety of card games as solitaires let a gambler fill the time playing alone (spreading the cards and than changing their places according to some rules). The game particularly helped the bored imprisoned nobles not to go mad in those gloomy medieval fortresses.
Card games origins throw back and are lost somewhere in the East (China, Korea, India?). Despite the development of computer games industry, card games still hold their ground - they have moved to virtual world. Now they are rightfully considered to be one of the genres of computer games. Don't be mistaken - not all card games are simple simulators of their table predecessors. Sometimes they differ from them a lot. For example, they can have some stylish supplements which become possible due to the flexibility of virtual reality. They raise fascination of a gameplay.
Card games are not always homogeneous (that concerns the mechanisms of games) in their "board essence", so that's the same case with that kind of computer games.
We can single out the following types of card games:1. Card games for one gambler - solitaires. They can be classic, or such games can be supplemented with a conveyor (cards are delivered to the playing field with its help) which adds some more dynamics to the process of playing.
2. Card games for several gamblers (Preference, Poker, etc.). In that type of card games the roles of partners are performed either by virtual players (they are controlled by computer) or... some other players - people (when you play card games online).
3. Original card games, based on a simple card batch.
4. Still there is one peculiarity - such games have a unique playing mechanism, which can't be reproduced in the board format. "5 Realms of Cards" is an example of such games.
